Barkham, Ngaba, Amdo Tibet

On March 17, 2008, students from the nationalities upper middle school rose the Tibetan national flag and protested on campus. Following the protest, the students were arrested by Chinese security forces in Barkham, Amdo Tibet (Tib: འབར་ཁམས་རྫོང་། Ch: 马尔康县 Ma'erkang County, Sichuan Province).
